Conversations that create change

Chelsea Thomson, Founder

Chelsea is one of those people that can strike up a conversation with anyone.

It makes sense that she was drawn to a career in communications. Telling stories, asking questions, and listening to others is more than a career, it's who she is.

Chelsea has spent close to 20 years working in the field of marketing and public relations. She has led and developed successful marketing campaigns, social media, and media relations strategies for household Winnipeg brands like Folkorama, The Forks, the Reh-Fit Centre, and a countless number of local businesses.

She has served as a board member for not-for-profit organizations, including the Downtown Winnipeg Biz, and Manitoba Brain Injury Association.

Her professional experience speaks to her personal passion for urbanism, physical and mental well-being, and social justice.

“I love to talk. I ask lots of questions. I care about making change. At five feet ten inches, I'm known for my tall, honest personality. I offer my opinion freely, and use an honest, truthful approach to communicating and making an impact in my community.”

When she’s not writing or building strategy to help small businesses grow, you can find her camping with her family, running around downtown Winnipeg with her favourite run club, or binge-watching almost anything on almost any streaming platform.

Chelsea works with an intimate group of talented, local creatives, designers, artists, and other industry professionals to be able to provide you with a full scope of services that deliver on your goals.

Social impact.

We believe in the power of communications to make a positive impact in the world we live in. As a values-led company, our work reflects our purpose.

Research shows women in particular benefit from collaboration over competition. Study after study shows women who support women are more successful in business.

That’s why our business model includes donating a portion of our time and skills to other local small businesses and entrepreneurs, with a particular focus on businesses owned by women. In this grant program, 5% of all business conducted at Tall Truth will be donated through in-kind services to female-owned businesses in Winnipeg who could otherwise not afford such services.

To apply or recommend someone for in-kind services, book a discovery meeting or send us an email hello@talltruth.com.

“Activism is something we are all responsible for. It is not something we turn over to a group of people. It’s either in our daily lives or it’s not.”
